Spring Break, A Park, and Some Cameras
Last week was spring break, and I was able to spend some rare time with both my “kids” at once. (Should I say, with my beautiful young adults instead?)
We applied the principles of my last post and took a photography trip to the park. (I’m sometimes a pessimist and didn’t expect that there would be much to capture. My idea of a park in winter= bare trees and dead grass. WRONG And yes, it’s still winter here, despite the date.)
My tendency to “over instruct” threatened to squelch the spontaneous fun. Happily, I eventually heeded my daughter’s wisdom, (“Mom, we learn best from our failures”), and we all had a fun afternoon.
Some fishermen were enjoying the day too. (That sparked some conversations about worms vs. hotdogs for bait, etc. And, why haven’t we gone fishing in the last ten years?)

I hope you all are enjoying spring break too.
I had a maternity shoot scheduled for today, this lovely first day of spring, and it couldn't be less spring-like. So we switched it up to snowy walk in the woods maternity shots, and some indoor ones. Your pictures look great! (Stopped by from SITS)
This sounds like such a fun day! Thinking of you and hope you are having a good week.
Unfortunately, ours was cold and snowy. 🙁
coming from SITS

Love the photos of your children, well young adults! I need to get out with my kids to a place where we can take pics of nature. Have a wonderful Easter! Hope your weather warms up soon.
What a fun day for all of you. The way I look at it, they will always be your "kids" 🙂
I loved my Spring break too! I did that a few weeks ago, though. Different timing for each school I guess. I did spend it with relatives, but on the other side of the country, so I didn`t really see my siblings or parents much that week.
I dont have a Spring Break but I didnt enjoy looking at your pictures. Thanks for sharing
