Thursday Favorite Things #435

Welcome friends!  I’m so glad you’re here for another Thursday Favorite Things (TFT) link party.

Another week of social distancing is behind us, and I’m staying as positive as possible.  I will say this week went really fast, and I’m happy to be here at the party today.

We had a nice, relaxing Easter at home.  It was different, but we stayed positive.  How was yours?  (I finally made the Crazy Cake/Wacky Cake/Depression Cake that I see all over Pinterest. It became an Easter cake, and it was really moist and good. I didn’t even frost it, but it was great sprinkled with powdered sugar. My husband ate it plain and liked it.)  No pictures, though.

Thanks to all who shared at last week’s party.  If you missed it, click back here.  I appreciate all of you.

Please pin this features image to share the party!  Thank you!

Here are my features from last week’s party:

Family Friendly DIY Spring Placecard Holder from My Wee Abode

Easter 2020 from Selep Imaging

Upcycle Storage Containers from Chas’ Crazy Creations

Easter Crack Candy – Saltine Toffee Bark from Kippi at Home

As a reminder, please remember to leave a comment with your link number, and please pin from the original blogs. (I’d love it if you would pin the features collage at the top of the post, though. 😊)

  2. Glad you had a relaxing Easter. Ours felt quite different without family. I'm sharing my DIY farmhouse flower arrangement, #20. Thanks for hosting!

  3. HI Pam! That toffee bark looks so happy and festive – thank goodness there are those creatives among us who are still celebrating with such cheer. Easter was different. The highlight was a Zoom service with my minister dad officiating. Just loved it, but it was so bittersweet just like Easter. Thanks so much for gathering us for TFT. This little bit of normalcy is so good for me right now, and this week has been especially challenging. I'm sharing a few things I have been up to including sprucing up a guest bedroom with a beautiful wall mural. It only took a few hours, but we absolutely love it. Find me at #50, 51, and 52. Wishing you hope bubbling up from a secret place in the soul that you can trust. xox

    1. Easter really was different and kind of surreal and bittersweet, as you say. Glad you found some cheer! I hope your week has gotten better. So glad you come here and spread your warmth and kindness. I always look forward to the boost you give me and the rest of us. xox

  4. Thank you Pam! That flower pot and napkin is adorable! My links are #53, 54, 55. I'm glad you had a nice Easter…an Easter we will all remember…

    1. Thanks for being here, Jenna! Yes, those little flower pots are so very cute. I really want to make some, and with the exact napkins, or at least very similar!

  5. Depression cake? I'll have to look that one up. I made some banana bread, but I ran out of flour, so I made up the difference with pancake mix. Not bad, just more cakey.

This week, I am bringing some Earth Day DIYs from some of my favorite bloggers (#120), a review of my new Pastel Figure Tee from SheIn (#121), my new crochet hook pouch (#122) and some facial scrubbies I love to use for exfoliating (#123).

    1. I recommend the cake! I used the recipe for Crazy Cake on the Sugar Spun Run blog, but the recipe seems to be everywhere. I used gluten free all purpose flour, and it was great,so I think any regular flour will be great as well. Thanks for sharing today!

  6. Thanks so much for hosting! I’m linking up today with A GERMAPHOBE AND COVID-19 and INTERNATIONAL SAFETY PIN DAY.

  7. Thank you so much for the feature, Pam! Dang, I need to make a spreadsheet to remind myself of what I post each week! I reposted my pots again this week, but a new post with tips and tricks for DIY face masks (go figure, right?) I'm at 179 and 180. They depression cake is amazing, right? My grandson is allergic to eggs, so this is the new go-to cake for the little guy's special days! Hugs!

    1. You're welcome, Julie! The only way I can keep track of which parties I have posted on, is to link them at the bottom of my post. Works for me! Yes, the depression cake is so good. I can't believe I waited so long to try it. Hugs back to you!

  8. Thank you for hosting another party. I haven't been out much, but I have noticed social distancing at the grocery store. Our links this week are: #195, #196, & #197.
