Missouri Vintage Sunday

I love going to my inlaw’s. It’s only an hour and a half drive away from us, but it’s worlds away from the hustle and noise of the city and suburbs. (And I really like my inlaws!)   There’s even a giant rocking chair in one of the yards on the way down. (One of these days I’m going to stop and get a picture of it…)

I don’t know what I like better–the cows in the pastures, the tree lined highway, or the little shops that pop up around some of the corners.  While we’re there, we sometimes visit one of our favorite shops. There’s just something a little special about it. When we walk in, we just feel happy, and I never tire of going there.  It  has vintage treasures, old mannequins, and big jars of candy. (Who doesn’t like big jars of candy?) Just up the street from it is the tiny stone school building where my husband went to grade school.

Even the ceiling of the shop is pretty.

Must walk away from the candy…

Looks yummy and beautiful too.

Everything is so beautifully displayed.

The vintage jewelry is fun.

I’m so glad I had my camera that day.

It was a relaxing way to spend our Sunday afternoon, and I hope you enjoyed the tour!

  1. You had me at the word "vintage." 🙂 What a cool place. I don't think I could've walked away from the candy.

  2. Where in Missouri is this lovely place? I'd love to visit it sometime. My husband is from Lebanon, MO, and we still try to go back there every year. For us it's more like a 30 hour drive though. 🙂
