My Amazon Finds this Month: June, 2022

It’s time for another of my Amazon shopping finds for the month. I’ve been really amazed at the speed of Prime delivery lately. Some of the things I’ve been ordering recently have even given the option for same day delivery.

First, I bought a new book on modern calligraphy that had been on my wish list for a while. This book is the second in a series of Modern Calligraphy books by Mollie Suber Thorpe. (The first one is just called Modern Calligraphy, and I’ve had it for several years.) I like this current one better because it showcases several different letter styles and alphabets in entirety, rather than by individual letters (if that makes sense), so it’s a little easier to follow in my opinion. It’s called Mastering Modern Calligraphy: Beyond the Basics, and I think it’s well suited to anyone, either beginner or advanced student. It’s a great, in depth guide to modern pointed pen calligraphy.

A new liptstick for me is always a fun little treat. This L’Oreal Paris Peony Pink lipstick is a nice, mid-tone pink. The pinks are usually too bright or too dark for me, but this one is just right. The price is budget, but I think it’s nice quality.

I definitely didn’t need a new stamp set, but I saw this particular one on Helen Colebrook’s YouTube channel, Journal with Purpose, and I loved how she used it on her journal pages. (If you like creative journaling, you will definitely want to visit her channel and Instagram by the way. She is a lovely person, and she creates the most beautiful and meaningful journal pages.) The florals are really pretty and versatile.

Lastly, this Revlon One-Step Volumizer Plus 2.0 Hair Dryer and Hot Air Brush has been one of my favorite purchases of the year. (This is the latest version of this particular product.) It dries my hair so fast, and it gives it so much volume, and is much easier for me than using both a round brush and a hair dryer. It’s recommended that you should get your hair about 50-80% dry before you use it, to save time, and then use it to style your hair. My hair is so fine, I could probably get away with just this tool, but I do dry my hair with my regular hair dryer just a little bit before I use it. I also use it on Medium, as many people say the high is too hot, and I don’t want to damage my hair. I love it.
