My Recent Amazon Finds

I’m back with some recent Amazon purchases. I was starting to make my yearly Christmas gift guide, and I realized I hadn’t posted some of my recent Amazon purchases yet. So, I thought I would do that first. (And, some of these would make nice gifts, too!)

Clairefontaine ‘Back to Basics 1951’ Clothbound Notebook, 5 3/4″ x 8 1/4″, 96 Pages, Lined, Turquoise

First, I’ll just say that I have a lot of notebooks. I like notebooks and journals that have fountain pen friendly paper. There are a lot of those to choose from! I’ve used Rhodia, Midori MD, Tomoe River, and some others. I like all of those, but Clairefontaine paper is my favorite. It’s smooth, velvety, and white. When I found this basic, inexpensive lined notebook with Clairefontaine paper, I immediately switched my daily (well, not daily, but almost daily) journaling to this one. At least for now! I use it in my A5 leather traveler’s notebook cover.

ESV Single Column Journaling Bible, Large Print (TruTone, Burgundy/Red, Timeless Design): Holy Bible, English Standard Version

I bought this Bible because none of my other Bibles have enough space for notes, and this one is perfect for that. I take sermon notes, separate from my Bible, but I like to make notes in my Bible, too. (By the way, did you know that when you take notes, you will learn the information better, even if you never look at the notes again?? It creates new pathways in your brain. Although, if you read them again, that’s obviously even better. The psychology and neurology of learning is one of my interests!) I really love this Bible. It’s not a study Bible, but it has a large font (great for those of us in, shall we say, our mature years) and 2 inch ruled margins on the sides, which is great for notes. (Someone I once knew said to me, “Another Bible???”when I bought a new Bible. But, I like having several different Bibles! A couple of them are study Bibles, different translations, etc.)

I really needed some long sleeve tops for fall and winter, and I love this one. It’s so soft and comfortable. I bought it in several colors, and I love wearing them. REALLY comfortable and appropriate for a lot of situations.

Amazon Essentials Women’s Lightweight Waffle Full-Length Robe

I bought this robe a while back, for the summer and fall, because my favorite warm robe (see below) is too heavy for the warmer months. This lightweight robe is exactly what I hoped it would be. It’s just the right weight for the warmer seasons. I think it’s cute, too. (For a robe, anyway!)

NY Threads Premium Womens Robe with Hood, Plush Fleece Long Bath Robe for Women, Fluffy Soft Women’s Bathrobe

While not a recent purchase, this is the bathrobe I use all winter long. It’s SO fluffy, soft, and warm. I’ve gifted a few, too. It washes up like a dream. (When you first get it, it will be all wrinkled from the compressed packing. Just wash and dry it, and it will be amazing.) I use it as a blanket, when I’m watching tv, too.

Pilot Bottle Ink iroshizuku Shinkai, Blue, 50 milliliters

Pilot Iroshizuku inks are some of my favorite inks for my fountain pens. They are typically well behaved, smooth flowing inks. This one is no exception. It’s a really interesting blue/black/gray ink color, and I really like it. It looks different on different papers (as most inks do.) In this photo, it looks more blue, but in my experience, it is beautiful color that leans more toward gray. The bottle is so pretty, too!
