Thursday Favorite Things #422

Happy Thursday, and welcome to the Thursday Favorite Things Link Party!  I’m excited to see what you have to share today.

Have you all left any of your Christmas decorations up?  Here’s a secret — Our tree is still up.  My husband gets very sad when the decorations come down anyway, so I said, “Why not?”  But then, I always have a little trouble letting go of Christmas, do you?

On with the party!  As a reminder, please remember to leave a comment with your link number, and please pin from the original blogs. 8. We have our Christmas decorations up still too. :). I like them to sort of blend into Valentine's season personally…lol. Today I'm sharing #118.

    1. Yay, another Christmas decoration pal! I like that Valentine idea. My husband always says that January needs the twinkling lights because it's so dreary.

  9. Definitely nothing wrong with having them up longer, I see a lot of people that still have their's up. I love Christmas, but my decorations are down by the 1st of January. Not sure what it is but I feel cluttered starting a new year with everything up and I feel accomplished if it is all away by the 1st. Within the last 2 weeks I have gone through and organized stuff that I put off for months now haha! The new year does that to me, it will fade quickly…

Thank you for hosting again this week Pam! I am at 204 and 205 this week. Hope you have a wonderful week and feel better quickly!

    1. Thanks, Dawn! Our neighbor was still lighting his Christmas lights until the last few days. That made my husband happy! I hope you have a wonderful week, too!

  10. I put away my Christmas Tree and outside lights last weekend. My home is very small, and so the tree has been on top of the dining room table, and I have been itchy to sew (a table for any occasion, ha!). But I noticed a couple days ago that the bathroom is still decked out for Christmas. Oops! Gotta take care of that.

But I will add that growing up, we kept our Christmas Tree up all year. It was a staple in our living room, and my mom would decorate it for different holidays. It was something I really, really loved, and hope when I have more space, that I can do it too! Maybe some hearts on the tree will cheer your husband up?

This week, I am sharing my sister in law's Pernil recipe (#206), a cozy earwarmer crochet pattern (#207), and the newest piece to my pixel art collection – a heart! (#208).

  11. Hi Pam! Just returned home from Arizona so it's time to take the balance of the Christmas stuff down! Thanks so much for featuring my post and for all of your support and encouragement. I'm participating again today with #222, 223, 224, as I share hearts, health, and handsome homes (of course!). Hope this finds you enjoying your weekend and finding creative joy. xox

    1. Oh, the sun and warmth of Arizona sounds so good to me right now! The older I get, the more I want to talk my husband into eventually becoming snowbirds. Wish me luck with that! Thanks for sharing your beautiful posts as always! xox

  12. Sorry you were sick! I had the flu between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and it zapped all my energy so I can understand why you weren't up for taking your tree down yet! Glad you're feeling better!
