Welcome to the Thursday Favorite Things Link Party!
I hope you all are staying well and have had a good week, despite all of the upheaval that this virus has caused.
Several of our grocery stores are having early hours for those who are 60 and older or are immune compromised. I’m 63, so I am, thankfully, allowed to go at that time. I can tell you, I’m so grateful for this perk of being “older.”
I went to the grocery store today, during the early hour for people over 60. Many of the people there were quite a bit older than I am, and while most people were smiley, a few people were very abrasive. One lady, who looked to be in her 70s, growled at me that I was too close to her. One woman was glaring at me (maybe because my cart was pretty full, but I didn’t have multiples.) At first, I felt hurt, but then I realized how frightened so many of these older people must be. It’s a scary time, especially for those who are elderly, and grace is so important to give. May we all give each other a little extra grace as we go through our days.
So, with that long drawn out intro, let’s get on with the party!
