Thursday Favorite Things (TFT) Link Party #526
Hi, and welcome to the weekly Thursday Favorite Things link party!
I’m so excited today because my blog makeover is finally complete, as is the migration from Blogger to WordPress! I tried to choose a design that is somewhat familiar but fresh and updated, too. I still need to update my profile photo, though!
Whew, that was a big project, and I had a lot of help! In fact, much of it was handled for me, thank goodness. But, I’ve still been knee deep in it for a few weeks, getting all of the details in place, tweaking the layout, and customizing everything (not to mention learning WordPress from the ground up!)
This post will have a lot of exclamation points, like the “excited” women’s magazine at the grocery checkout. (There is one particular magazine that has an exclamation point at the end of just about every title of every article, so years ago my daughter decided it would forever be known as the “excited magazine.”)
I’m excited because this is a project I’ve been wanting to do for years. So, welcome to the updated version of my blog.
I haven’t been working on any new projects for several weeks, but finally now I feel like I’ll have some time to actually do something creative to share at the blog!
Here are my features from last week’s party:
Please pin from the original blogs, rather than from the images below. All of my features will be added to my TFT Pinterest board.
Valentine Day Card Ideas from The Painted Apron
End of Week Chicken from Savory Kitchen Table
Altered Mini Books from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S.
Winter Sensory Bin from Sew Can Do
Valentine’s Day Tea from Thrifting Wonderland
Bonus: This post was chosen as one of my features as well. So, click the link to see this magnificent Valentine tea party.

Girlfriend, it looks AMAZING! You and your ‘support team’ have done a GREAT job! So much easier to navigate and so smooth! Love that card from Painted Apron, too! I’m at 116 and 117 this week! Hugs!
First off, HUGS back to you!! You were SO patient with answering my many questions! Thank you for the wonderful resources! Grayson Bell was so meticulous with the migration and cleanup from Blogger, and Lani was equally meticulous with all of her hard work and support! I couldn’t have had a better experience!
Pam,
Your blog looks great! I imagine it’s a huge job to change everything over.
I’m terrified to move. So I stay with boring ; )
Thank you so much for sharing my mini journals. I’m so glad you liked them.
xo Lisa S
Thank you so much, Lisa! Your blog is not boring at all!! How huge the project is really depends on how much you plan to do. Honestly, if you stay with a similar template and just migrate over, it wouldn’t be too bad, especially if you have someone do it for you. I had Grayson Bell from imarkinteractive.com do the migration from Blogger to WordPress, and he was AMAZING. The part that took me so long was the customization and tweaking of the site (all while learning WordPress!)
The blog redesign looks great! Welcome to the WordPress club 🙂
Thanks, Alexandra! I’m SO happy to have it completed.
Congratulations, Pam, on the new look and for moving over to WordPress. You will love it. The WordPress community is wonderful. If you ever have a question, let me know.
Thanks so much, Carol! I appreciate that so much!
Sorry I’m so late thanking you for the wonderful feature at the party. It’s been so hectic lately! Congratulations on the BIG move, you’ll love wordpress.
No worries, Tamy. You’re very welcome! The chicken looks delicious.
