Thursday Favorite Things #675
Happy Thursday, and thank you for joining us today! I look forward so much to seeing all of the wonderful inspiration that you all drop here each week. It wouldn’t be a party without you, so thank you for sharing your blog content and visiting others.
This week, my husband and I discovered that “hummingbird bullies” exist. Have you heard of that? A hummingbird will perch near a feeder and run off other hummingbirds as they try to feed. We suddenly had one of those bullies who was taking control of our single feeder, so my husband added a second feeder to our deck. We now have an amazing show every day, with loads of hummingbirds entertaining us, and they all get to feed. It’s as if they’re sending out a message, “Party on the Province deck!” Just adding a second feeder attracted so many more birds. (The bully still often takes control of “his” feeder but seems to ignore the other one.) We are either very easily amused (yes) or old (yes), and it’s a lot of fun.

Here are my features from last week’s party. If you missed that one, you can visit here. Please pin from the original blogs, rather than from the images below. All of my features will be added to my TFT Pinterest board.

That is too cute about the hummingbirds! They are fun to watch! Thanks for the party Pam, my links are #13, 14, 15~ Enjoy your bird watching!
Thanks, Jenna! They really are so much fun.
Hummingbirds are so fun to watch. I have flowers out for them, and birdseed for the regular guys (and squirrels). It is amazing what entertains us after retirement! haha. Thanks so much for hosting and sharing my pear branch tote. Have a great holiday weekend!
You’re welcome for the feature, Debra! This year, for the first time, I bought a hanging flowering plant that attracts hummingbirds. It really does seem to attract them.
Pam,

I thought the same thing, Deb! Who would have thought? We’re getting used to the bully, now. 🙂
Hummingbirds are endlessly fascinating. We’ve had several visiting the flowers on the deck this week as they begin to migrate south. I’ve linked #52 this week.
They are, for sure, Sandra. I hope they stick around for a while.
Love the features, and love reading about your hummingbirds! I’m at 55 and 56 this week!
Thanks, Julie! We have our own little hummingbird sanctuary, it seems!
That slow-cooked recipe looks so tasty. A great autumn dinner. Thanks so much for hosting the link up.
