Thursday Favorite Things #715 Decoupage, Dinosaurs, and Donuts!

I had such a fun weekend, celebrating my great niece’s graduation and my in-law’s 70th wedding anniversary. Both parties were extraordinary, with so many sweet details.
A few of the many special things from my niece’s party – She had a candy salad bar and huge cookies instead of cake, a new Bible was on the table with a sign that asked the guests to highlight a passage and then leave a message next to it in the margin (LOVED that!), lots and lots of photos and delicious food. It was a beautiful setting in St. Charles, MO in a historic train depot, with a lovely view of the Missouri river. Oh, and the weather was perfect.
The next day was equally sweet, celebrating my in-law’s 70 years of marriage. They renewed their vows, and yes, it was as darling as you can imagine. The day was just perfect, with flowers and photos and family. My 92 year old father-in-law made many trips to the food table for more chicken wings and cupcakes, and my mother-in-law shed happy tears and was thrilled to have us all there.
