Thursday Favorite Things #417

I’m so glad you stopped by today for another fun Thursday Favorite Things link party!  I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving.  My husband took several days off, (which is unusual for him), so we had a nice restful time off.

I took advanage of one Cyber Monday special this week — I joined Weight Watchers.  I realize that holiday time is not the typical time of year to start the program, but I thought I’d better head off the holiday weight before it starts, (while trying to get this current weight off !) Plus, the deal was very good! (I’m not affiliated.)  So, you can be sure I’ll be looking for those Weight Watchers recipes.

I don’t have any decorations up at all yet.  Trying to get the holiday energy going, but I’m still running a little slow from our relaxing Thanksgiving break.

  2. Thank you Pam! Aren't you smart to start on WW now! My links are #41, 42, 43. Happy December!

  3. Hi Pam! Great to hear you joined WW – there is never a bad time to join as far as I am concerned since it's the way of eating I have followed for decades to manage my Crohn's disease rather than weight loss. Now that I have to restrict my fat intake, I appreciate it more than ever. The FB groups for WW are incredible for learning recipes and for getting support. Sharing holiday inspiration at #92, 94, and 95 and hope you discover some magic inside those ditties. Thanks so much for hosting and offering a creative spot on the web for us. 🙂

    1. Hi Michele! I am loving WW, and glad to hear you love it too. I'm finding it to be flexible and healthy, and I'm feeling very optimistic! Thank you for being here, and I'm looking forward to your links! xo

  4. That must have been so nice to have the extra time off with your husband <3 My computer has been deteriorating and it's time to buy a new one so I did on Cyber Monday. Thanks for including my post in your features! Today I'm sharing #86 and #87.

  5. Thank you for hosting! This is what I featured the week of 11-25 to 11-29 on my blog. On Tuesday morning were Christmas Almond Balls. Wednesday was a Red Velvet Oreo Trifle. And wrapping up the first week of Christmas baking is a Marilyns Treats original. My Death by Peanut Butter and Chocolate Trifle. Enjoy!

  6. Thanks so much Pam for hosting the Thursday Favorite Things Link Party! I am now following you via email and share word about the party on SM. So many good ideas and festive posts to see. People still need to work during this season, and that's why I wrote and posted "5 Tips to Recharge on Your Lunch Break." Hope you enjoy. Have a beautiful holiday season and be well.

    1. Thank you for joining us, Nancy! And thank you for following and sharing–it is much appreciated! I hope you have a beautiful holiday season as well!

  7. This is probably the best time to join really! I mean you get to balance out and learn to eat healthier in time for the holidays. I have not joined personally but have changed the things we eat over the years here. The best thing we did was mostly give up processed foods.

Wishing you success (I am sure you will do great, I have heard great things about them!) I am afraid to let you know my numbers this week since it is all food! Tho nothing too unhealthy (and in moderation would be ok I am sure. I am at 107 and 108 with peppermint whipped cream (good coffee topper) and roasted sweet dumpling squash.

    1. I agree, it is a really good time to join! The structure is so good, and there are many zero point foods (like eggs!), so it isn't too hard to stick to. And, yes, a few treats in moderation are very nice to have, and they keep me happy too, so I'm glad you shared them! Thank you for the good wishes!
