Thursday Favorite Things #717 July 4th Fun and More
Happy almost 4th of July, and welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! Sit back and be inspired, and link some of your blog posts, old or new.

Do you have plans for the 4th? My husband and I usually stay home. Sometimes my husband grills, and sometimes we get take-out (usually barbecue.) We are definitely homebodies! On the 4th of July when I was growing up, I would wait and wait all day until it finally got dark enough to do sparklers and watch the local fireworks display from our backyard, as we ate watermelon. Sometimes family friends would bring their hand-crank ice cream maker, and we kids would take turns turning the crank (which we thought was fun, for some reason!)
When my own kids were growing up, we usually kept it simple, too. For several years when they were little, we would go to my in-law’s and have our own little fireworks display. Do you have any special memories of the 4th?
Here are my features from last week’s party. If you missed that one, you can visit here. Please pin from the original blogs, rather than from the images below.

I will be going to my daughter’s home after work. Since having grands, my childhood memories are being replaced with theirs! Their neighborhood has a HIGE fireworks display put on by several neighbors. Thank so much for hosting! I’m at 121 & 122 this week! Happy 4th!
