Thursday Favorite Things (TFT) #492

Welcome to the Thursday Favorite Things (TFT) link party. Share your creativity, or just sit back and take in all of the great inspiration from some amazing bloggers.

This week at the blog, I shared a post about The Basics of Lawn and Garden Care for Beginners.  There were some very good tips in the article, but my own lawn could look a bit better. There are more weeds than I’d like. We’re very careful about avoiding chemicals on our grass, as our Sunny dog is small and very low to the ground. Plus she licks her paws a lot.  So we’re not quite sure what do do about the weeds. Some products are labeled “natural,” but we’re not sure what that means.

Our next-door neighbors, on the other hand, have the most lovely, lush green grass. Their back yard leads down to this rustic, fun fire pit area near the woods, complete with tree stump seats. It’s kind of magical down there to me. Like a nostalgic campsite.

What are some of your best tips for keeping your lawn weed-free naturally?

Here are my features from last week’s party:

  4. Hi Pam! Love gardening posts. We don't use chemicals on our lawn or in our garden. As for weeds, if they are edible, we eat them! 🙂 I cook using dandelion greens (so yummy in pasta with garlic and butter) and I also add them raw to smoothies! I'm sharing #82 and #83. 🙂
