It’s been a while since I posted a random collection of ideas and things I’ve been up to and buying, so I thought I’d share a few of my Amazon finds and random thoughts today. (It’s been a while since I’ve posted about anything, though. I’ve been so entrenched in moving over to WordPress.)

Most of you know how much I love journals and pens, but I don’t journal often enough. I’m definitely not lacking in notebooks or journals (stationery addict), I just don’t commit the time. I’m not sure why that happens, but I want to be more committed to it.
I found this pretty faux leather journal on Amazon, and I couldn’t resist it. It was inexpensive and not a big splurge, so I didn’t feel too guilty about buying another journal. I really love it, and I think it was a bargain. It has lovely kraft colored pages, which none of my current journals have.
I also picked up another Jinhao fountain pen. These Jinhao pens are very inexpensive and a good value, in my opinion. The nib that comes with it is a nice #6 nib, and I think the design on the pen is interesting.
I’ve been trying to get out of my food rut, too. I’ve been losing weight with WW, although I tend not to talk about it too much because in the past, I’ve plateaued and given up, but this time, when I reached my plateau after losing 10 pounds, I didn’t give up, and I’ve now lost a total of 15 pounds.
I’ve not reached my goal yet, but I’m feeling encouraged. (I try to remain body positive, but my health was suffering. I was pre-diabetic and without energy, and given my autoimmune issues, I felt like it was now or never.) I want to have a well functioning heart, brain, and blood pressure as I age (and, as my birthday is today, I’m very aware of my advancing age!) I’m not affiliated with WW, but I really need the structure that program provides, and I’m happy to say that my favorite snack is now a sliced red pepper with a smidge of ranch dressing. Plus, eggs are zero points. (I love eggs!)
Our big snowstorm snow is finally melting, so I’m hoping against hope that this is the last snow we’ll see this year. I’m a snowbird in the making, and if I can get my husband on board, I won’t be spending January and Febuary of my retirement years in Missouri too many more years. The beach is calling my name. (I say “retirement ” with a grain of salt because you all know I”ll be blogging forever… Plus, as my kids say, “Dad always needs a project.”)
I hope you’ve enjoyed my rambling today. Have a great rest of your week!
