Staying Calm and TFT #433
Welcome to the Thursday Favorite Things link party!
My blog and this link party have given me a sense of normalcy in an otherwise completely not normal time.
I’m an introvert, so for me, social distancing is probably a little easier than for some others. But, even for me, seeing so much of the inside of our house has been a bit too much. I miss going out to breakfast and/or dinner with my husband and our church service each week. But I’m grateful to be safe at home! And, we’ve had some beautiful weather to enjoy. I hope you are all safe and well.
I love having this party time today to connect with other bloggers and readers and share fun things.
My features today are posts that made me feel calm and/or comfort! Now I’m off to have a cup of tea.
Here are my features from last week’s party:
A Virtual Trip to the Beach from The Painted Apron
Use What You Have Muffins from The Frugal Grandmom
How to Make Vintage Hankie Bunnies from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S
Butter Dip Biscuits from Cindy’s On-Line Recipe Box
As a reminder, please remember to leave a comment with your link number, and please pin from the original blogs. (I’d love it if you would pin the features collage at the top of the post. 😊)
By adding your link here, you are giving permission to use your photos for features related to the party and on social media.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
Good morning, Pam. Beautiful party. And, I’m with you, totally grateful, but would love a breakfast out and church at my church, instead of the virtual version. Still, counting my blessings. Happy TFT.
Thanks, Theresa! Counting mine today, too! (The sun is out!)
Pam,
I am actually finding very little difference for me during these times as i was only going out about once a week since I stopped working a year ago…I am a home buddy so I am loving this!! Weird, huh???
Thanks so much for hosting during these trying times!! Link parties are the perfect distraction!!
My link Ups are # 28, 29 and 31 for this week!!
Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Not weird at all, Debbie! Yes, I am loving the connections in the link parties!
hi Pam, I am a homebody, love to be at home creating, but I do miss my friends and outings…so grateful that we can visit and share through blogging and social media! Thanks so much for featuring my virtual trip to the beach. My links this week are #48, 50, 51, thank you!
Jenna
You're welcome, Jenna! Such a soothing post about the beach — I keep going to visit it to get some calm.!
I too, am missing the dinner dates out with my husband! And the craft store perusing, though I feel like I am saving a lot of money right now (besides filling my tank and eating out) just staying home and crafting from my stash.
This week, I am sharing a garden hose inspired crochet wreath that I named after my mom <3 #75, an adorable little cozy I worked up inspired by a carrot #76, and my birthday nails #77.

Yes, I am finding myself using materials from my stash too! Thanks for sharing today!
Hi, Pam! My husband has been working from home, so it is great that he doesn't have a long commute. One of my daughters is also home, since all universities are finishing the term online. We are generally coping ok, doing more baking as many (see my recipe #71 Mexican buns). Thank you for continuing hosting TFT, as you said, it gives us a sense of normalcy. Have a safe week!
Hi, Irene! So glad you're here. Have a safe week, too!
Thanks for hosting during these stressful times. I am number 96 this week. Stay well and take care!
Shelley
Thanks for being here, and stay well too!
Pam,
Thank you so much for sharing my hankie bunnies!
I have been enjoying the slow pace of staying home. My husband and I both lost our jobs permanently but we look forward to the change. The quiet helps you think. I have more time for studying my Bible and I had been rushed at times.
I look so forward to seeing my parents and hugging my kids!
I hope you are well, take care.
xo Lisa S
You're welcome, Lisa – They're adorable! I hope you stay well also. xo
Stay calm and stay home, the best advice you can give. Stay safe my friend, lovely features. xo
Thank you, Katherine! Stay safe, also, friend! xo
Hi Pam! Love the idea of 'use what you have' muffins since that sounds so appropriate right now when trips to the store are not in anyone's best interest. I'm sharing at #125, 126, and 128 with inspiring quotes, hope, and even a happy berry bowl. Thanks so much for gathering creative hearts around the globe and providing a place to connect…so important with the level of disconnection. My mind and heart are led to deeper waters these days, and I'm feeling the growing pains of a soul fully awake the the gravity of what it means to live as a truly interdependent and fragile being. Wishing you streams of mercy, waves of compassion, and a river of grace to carry you and yours to places of peace. xox
Hi, Michele! So beautifully said! I'm wishing all of that beauty to you, also! xox
Hi Pam! We had been having beautiful spring-like weather and then we got half a foot of snow today!! We usually get one last big snowstorm in April lol. Today I'm sharing #84 and #85.
Hoping your snow is gone, now!! Thanks for linking!
Thank you for hosting the party. Yes, I have decided that it is a lot more difficult to stay home than I thought that it was. But I am grateful that we have a safe place to be. Our links this week are: #175, #176, & #177.
So, true, Amy! I'm grateful to be safe at home.
Calm is definitely good during this time in our lives. I, too, miss my church family… and I'm missing my regular family members, too! Thankful for this age of 'Jetson TV Phones'. 😉 Looking at God's goodness even during these times! (I'm at 182-184 this week.)
Yes, so thankful for the Jetson things! Your comment made me laugh, Julie, because I always tell my husband I feel like Jane Jetson when I use the microwave! 🙂
